This strand studies conflicts that arise during sporting games and other motor situations. It analyses their characteristics, intensity (conflict index), attitudes towards conflict and strategies for transforming it. From an educational perspective, motor conflicts offer opportunities to learn how to get along with others, communicate and regulate emotions. The research seeks to identify factors associated with the emergence of conflicts and design interventions that help turn them into constructive experiences for participants.
