This strand investigates the educational potential of traditional sporting games to promote peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, intercultural dialogue and the constructive transformation of conflicts from an intercultural perspective. It analyses the features of motor situations that encourage cooperation, solidarity, mutual support and recognition of diversity. It also designs and evaluates educational programmes that use traditional sporting games to build cultures of peace in schools, communities and intercultural settings.
