Professor Pere Lavega, GIAM’s principal investigator, took part in the First Regional Conference of African Ministers as a UNESCO expert. The sessions, held in Madagascar from 10 to 13 September 2019, focused on implementing the Kazan Action Plan (KAP) in Africa.

Experts and ministers discussed steps to improve the quality of physical education. Pere Lavega highlighted traditional games as a cultural treasure and offered some reflections on how they can be introduced to foster intercultural education, peace, respect and tolerance.
